GFAS is deployed on a managed service basis, in which MFT provides 24 hour data centre facilities and all hardware, software and overnight operations requirements, with the customer responsible for the day-to-day front and back-office administration on GFAS.
The scope of services provided includes service delivery, scheduling, capacity planning and business contingency, information security, change and problem management tracking and help desk.
The whole managed service facility is designed to underpin our customers’ business requirements and includes:
- Continuous service monitoring and the maintenance of an uninterruptible power supply; data back-ups on a regular basis; built-in hardware redundancy tools, hardware spares onsite, dual platforms; environmental controls (i.e. air, water, fire, temperature)
- Computer centre staff onsite 24x7, 365 days a year
- Intra-day disaster recovery capability
- A help desk that provides assistance and reporting
- A dedicated Service Delivery Manager
MFT offers two distinct business recovery options:
- 24 hour recovery: This plan ensures all GFAS users have their systems available and live (to the previous business day’s data)

The solution ensures that the integrity of the transaction flows and background processes are maintained and proven, as well as ensuring consistency with all external systems and surround technologies
